Serving as a quality and assurance resource, committed to tackling social and environmental determinants of health for Mississippians.
Magnolia Medical Foundation (MMF) is a community-based organization that was founded in 2009 to provide preventive health services (health screenings, health education, promotion, chronic disease management services) and capacity building to individuals and communities throughout Mississippi.
In 2013, MMF expanded its vision to serve as a quality and assurance resource that addresses social and environmental determinants of health and a portal to an array of “responsive services” that are
designed for individuals and families who are vulnerable due to self-identified need, geographic location, family constellation, ethnicity, income, insurance status, and health status.
The mission of the MMF is to:
(1) Ensure accessible, affordable, culturally competent, family-centered, and gender-sensitive preventive health and social services/resources that meet the needs of families and;
(2) Promote family health, stability, and well-being through mechanisms that encourage and support healthy physical and social environments and healthy behaviors
